A co-production of Stellar Yapım and OGM Pictures, Broken Destiny, made its debut October 31st on Star TV under the Turkish title Toprak ile Fidan.
This exciting new premium daily drama, from İnci Gülen Oarr, producer of international hit series Elif, Wounded Birds and A Mother’s Love will be broadcast every weekday at 7pm. The series focuses on the incredible love story of Fidan and Toprak, a young couple separated from each other by a horrific accident.
Star TV is the first major Turkish national network to program a premium daily drama at 7 pm which is traditionally the news hour in Turkey. It’s a special time for a special project and a mark of confidence in Stellar Yapım and OGM Pictures, who are collaborating for the first time ever.
Broken Destiny features Hazal Adıyaman as Fidan and Osman Aydın as Toprak. These two new talents have an incredible onscreen chemistry. The series is helmed by two experienced directors, Atilla Cengiz (Menekşe ile Halil) and Eray Koçak (Savaşçı).
Distributed internationally by OGM UNIVERSE, the series has already begun to get attention from the international market.
In Broken Destiny, Toprak wakes up after five years in a coma and comes home to a family he can’t remember. Ayden, his fiancée, has loved him since they were kids but Toprak cannot remember anything. The little boy Burak doesn’t know at all. Toprak’s mother, Keriman, encourages him to finally marry Ayden and get on with his life.
Fidan lost her husband and baby in a terrible car accident five years ago. Now she lives in Şile with her sick father and stepmother, working to pay off the enormous debt they owe to the loan shark who yearns to marry her.
When a twist of fate brings these two together, Fidan cannot believe her eyes. Toprak looks exactly like her dead husband, although he doesn’t recognize Fidan. And yet, she stirs something within Toprak… Soon Fidan joins Toprak’s household as Burak’s nanny, and the two of them unravel the mystery of Toprak’s past – and his uncanny resemblance to Fidan’s dead husband.
